The National Office of the Irish Apostolate USA dates from May of 1997. The first National Director was Rev. Tim O’Sullivan, who was followed by Rev. Colm Campbell in 2001.

In 2005 the Irish Apostolate USA reorganized and established a presiding Board of Directors. Currently, the Board consists of Rev. Brendan McBride as the National Director, Rev. Michael Leonard, Rev. John McCarthy, and Mr. Thomas Conaghan. Rev. Alan Hilliard, Director, Irish Episcopal Commission for Emigrants, is an ex-officio member.

Traditionally, the vast majority of immigrants arriving from Ireland go to places where they have friends and acquaintances; cities like New York, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and Philadelphia. However, now immigrants can be found in practically all of the 50 States.

Since 1997 we have worked to establish outreach Centers in areas with significant Irish populations. To serve those areas without Centers, we have established a National Office. So no matter where you are in this great country, feel free to give us a call at any time. No concern is too small; if it's important to you, it is to us.
